Greglatta and Poodles, interesting conversation to get into.I think as well as tons of other people in or out of the industry agree that pound for pound the Vette is the best sport car for the price.A modded Supra could beat a Vette in the 1/4 so what.Ive seen VW bugs beat 911's and a Chevy Chevette beat a Corvette. On the track anything can happen with the right driver and the right settings.Really what Im trying to say is anything can happen on the street or the track. Its not all about horsepower yadda yadda. If you dont have skill all the horsepower in the world wont mean a damn thing.

not hating on domestics but all people do to them really is exhaust, intake, and a supercharger. you see mustangs all around also, why is that? they are cheap, not bad, but cheap. they have potential just like any car, add a little money, boom you got ### horsepower. but personally i think if you go dollar to dollar, pony to pony, imports will get down the street/track first...depending on the driver of course

Thumbs up

as a GM tech and a loyal import owner, i can tell you that the only GM products that I would ever recommend or buy would be any of their cars or trucks with V8, anything with less than 8 cylinders is crap...and I,m not hating...it's the truth...(I hope no GM big wig sees this,....they sign my checks) any ways, reliability is the keyword here....but about the bout between the vr 4 and the cobra.... the vr 4 takes it .......
  • now ,with the supra and cobra...well that'l depend solely on the drivers since possibly both of the cars have close HP ratings... go for it anyways and prove to those ho's what rice can do....

saleen is domestic is it not? does it really matter if its domestic or not isnt it the amount of money the company invests to make the car? think about how much ferrari invests into each car, thats why they are so highly regarded as being the best of the best the name says it honestly would you rather have a hyundai that posts the same numbers as a ferrari at the same price?

well comparing modified cars is a waste of time too. stock is really the only benchmark. i can get an 88 dodge daytona with a 2.2 turbo and have it running 11s for way less money than either car....this is all just a matter of opinion. I say if you dont own/ have raced/have owned the car...dont say anything about how fast it is. for example...i have an 88 n/a. itll beat a 91 v6 mustang.... haha.

pony to pony? haha id rather have the 500hp new c6 zo6 then a 500hp supra, the suprs would cost around the same and it wouldnt handle as well and the cars balance wasnt meant for 500hp. Honestly why compare cars anymore they all had their purpose.

So true, I took out my moms imported m3, 1999 and it was homecoming senior year, :-/ so we pull up next to a guy in some ricer it had a turbo and exhaust what I could tell from the eye didnt get to stop and look at it but he pulled up next to us, we had 4 people in the car and amazingly my friend was driving the 2nd leg of the trip, next thing you know he missed 2nd gear, honestly 1st to 2nd should never be missed, but we still won, back to the point the better the driver the better chance of winning
