Uh, there should be 6 nuts that attach the intake pipe to the manifold where it splits into two sections and attaches to the manifold. You may need to loosen some brackets too...I'm doing this off...

I'd say even to replace all the external oil seals (Rear main, Crank, Cam, Oil Pan and Valve Cover Gaskets) should in no way even approach $2000. I sure as hell wouldn't pay anywhere near that price...

It is much easier and cheaper to swap in a 7MGTE instead of the JZ conversion...I don't know exactly how cheap or what you need, I'm jumping straight to 1jz but it's costing me at least $4500-$5000...

Does the car seem like it's engine braking in some gears (a manual transmission term) the car seems to stay attached to the gear when the gas is released. My car has and had a lot of these problems....
