where is a good place to find a 1jz. i want to drop one in my MKIII and get rid of the 7mge. The only problem is i want a 1jz that has a manual tranny but all the ones i've come across come with an auto.

If you got the money, buy a clip from jarcoinc.com. If your car is older than an 89 keep in mind that you'll need new motor mounts. And to get a 1J with a manual tranny it will be a little more.

Call Jarco Inc. and see if they have gotten any more clips in...I got the last one they had in Feb. but they were supposed to go back to Japan to get some more...they may be in transit now. I'd definitely go w/ a clip...it's got most of the stuff you need to complete the swap already in.
