It ain't the valve cover gaskets leaking.

A turbo supra holds 5.5 quarts.

Oil pressure at hot idle should be 10psi not 0.

well at any rate i fixed it. but i hate how ppl say on here that its normal for it to be at 0. thats not normal. ive worked on cars and i know how it works, my dad says the same. hes rebuilt muscle cars. at idle it should be at least 20psi. w/o pressure how is it going thru the system. i have a new gauge, but i messed up putting the sandiwch plate in, i think i was sent the wrong one, but im more than positive the stock gauge is not 100% functional. i recall one day dring and it shot up to 80, and then back to 0 with in 5 minutes. idk, just my thoguhts and throwing it out there, not trying to say anyone is wrong, but i dont think its right

Supras and most Jap cars use a low pressure high flow oil pump, much different from domestic manufacturerers and "mucle cars". Oil pressure should never exceed 40 psi on a MK3 supra, if it does, the relief valve or spring in the oil pump is bad. And at hot idle oil pressure should be "higher than 4.3psi" thats straight out of the TSRM. Don't forget that oil pressure changes with oil temperature. When I say hot idle, I mean oil temps above 190F degrees.
