Default loose lifters?

hello, im the proud owner of a 86.5 supra
i got the car about 2 months ago and i think just recently the lifter have loosened bcause when im driving theres an audible clicking/tapping sound, its not the engine tapping but i think more the valves.

first question is do the 7mge have hydralic lifters?

the car is my daily driver, so im worried the loose lifter are gonna ruin the valves, should i start fixing it right away or is it ok to drive it that way for a while?

thanks for taking the time.

Cool

it's the fuel injectors most likely

i don't know your background or what's been done to the car but I don't think you have any worries at this point

Dude injector cleaner f_ucking blows chunks.

Ancient japanese secret here.

Automatic tranny fluid. Empty the tank after you get it running dump an entire qt of that into the tank and fill up with premium. I shit you not. It's the best injector and carbon cleaber. You'll smoke a bit but you will know it is because it is cleaning and lubricating everything within the fuels rail system.

Nope. Mechanical lifters meaning it has shims to adjust the valve clearance.

Cool

i didnt say i thought the injectors were bad .
i meant i think the tapping you hear is your injectors
you can pull them off and have them cleaned and balanced
