After 5 hours of elbow grease she looks good enough for the install.

I found out that the water pump was replaced by some previous owner, that would explain why the bolts were loose, that and one part of the sealing surface has a nice big gash from probably a screwdriver when the idiot was trying to get the gasket off. Its up near the top most stud so it won't affect the seal but it just amazes me how stupid most people are. To top it off the work was probably done at a dealer because the guy I bought it from hardly knew how to open the hood.

Yeah MK3 supras aren't known for their dependability. Just to put it in perspective, I own a 94 Grand Am, 3.1L V6 with 162K miles on it, daily driven mostly by my mom. This thing has the stock water pump with 162K miles and the last time I changed the coolant the fuckin shit was BLACK, yep Black coolant, fuckin thing runs like a champ and not a single coolant leak, doesn't use coolant and the water pump is mint. Yet heres an 87 supra with 122K miles, coolant was always nice and green even when I bought it, I flushed the coolant about a dozen times and the water pump gasket fails. Good job TOYODA

How do you know about "the guy with the mitsubishi"? Did I brag about him when you were over one day? And yeah, everytime I tell him, "I put a 3" turbo-back exhaust on", or "I just got a blitz SUS intake", or "I'm ordering a fluidyne radiator" or "I'm ordering a walbro fp" or "my water pump just took a shit" he responds with "Why?" or "Sell it". Its really annoying. But when it does run good and I take him for a ride, I can tell, his attitude towards it totally changes because he knows its a force to reckon with, and it will keep up with his car. It won't beat it, but it sure will give him a run for his money.

Now with a new pump hopefully it will run a little cooler. The pump itself is ok but the bearing has a little resistance when spun by hand so I know a new one will free up a HP or 2.

Will update tomarrow if it comes in like they said it would.

Its in, its mint. Now I can only guess what the next part that is going to fail on me. Maybe the oil pump, maybe rod bearings, maybe fuel pump, maybe ignition coils, maybe igniter, maybe CPS, and the list goes on and on.....

I'm addicted to this car. The 2 days I couldn't drive it was like a heroin addict without his methadone. Or a drunk without his cheap liquor, LOL. Now that its back in action I love getting the stares when I'm crusing or doing a WOT run, when that wastegate opens you can HEAR the difference, sounds so pissed.
