Smell any burnt metal? The clutch IS the connection between the trans and engine, without it there is no transmission of torque into the gearbox. Another suspect would be the input shaft snapping, but not likely. Either way if you can put it in any gear without using the clutch and while the engine is running then the input shaft is not spinning. Pull the clutch out and have a looksee, I bet it's obvious once it's out.
