1989 Toyota Supra Clutch issue

Not sure if it's the same thing, sounds like same concept anyways... but I had an 89 chevy celebrity that had a chip under the dash (kinda where our coin slot is next to the wheel). When the chip was removed, the car would give the effect the battery was dead or the starter was bad... I don't think the supra is equipped with such a feature, but I'd have to guess fuse box first and if you still need to, wiring second.. wish I could be more informative... maybe in a few more years after I've learned a thing or two here...
