id like to see something different, something like the basic supercar: long engine compartment, swept back passenger compartment; i also like the look of the hatch of the mk4 and the 350z, like a smooth slope, thats the only way i can describe it

I am still going to miss the v6. I rather buy a car and get it to 450hp instead of buying it stock with 450hp. I just think its more fun that way.

that would make sense, trying to keep the two similar because the supra did derive from the celica. i like that idea, but id say make a new celica cause the latest one is too girlie for me. dont get me wrong its a nice looking car, but i wouldnt want a supra if it looked like that celica.

Haha yah it is a bit girlish looking, But it is cool they always looked the same. Like big and little brothers or something. You know what sucks, Is that the new v6 camry has almost 300hp. That is BS!

I like this one. As long as it performs to par. I like how they made the headlights more inboard, and the whole front, like the 70s celicas. And the 4 taillights like the mk4. It looks like a squished auton marton vanquish from the side though. |

Found an article in Speed mag ( dated June 2005, sorry no scanner ) about the new supra. " Legend or Lemon ? " It rated about a quater page. They called the front end " a tip of the hat to toyota's legendary 60s 2000GT "

but i seriously doubt that toyota is going to sell a 2007 supra i see lots of 2007 ads on TV and many toyota 2007 ads but not one for a 2007 supra . everyone is in the sport coupe game today except totoya |

in Australia they are Releasing a whole (performance) line starting with (Aurion)3.5 v6 supercharged & a v8 i think.
so toyota is beefing its whole line up :) also i have resently herd that toyota is like moveing its line up ^ the model for instance a corolla or something will take the Celica s looks and the celica will take the supras so the supra will be like a new (performance) model. i hate the fact that a performce car has to have a v8 or v6 :( |

Im starting to think there gona try to make it a luxury/sports car like a bimmer more than an all out sports car, like a vette. Im sure itll be an awesome car tho. Im just hoping itll make the mk4s go down a little in price, so i can get one :)

Now lets go all the way back to the first post where it says-
"The coupe will be equipped with a 5.0-litter V-8 producing 450 bhp, this engine will not be available for open air model." Which is saying that the car has so much balls that it cannot be sold without a roof from the factory because testing showed that structural integrity would be compromised when beating the sh!t out of it. Now thats a supra. |

it looks very nice.
the front needs a bit work but i would still buy it if it could be moded like the last supra. even if they dont change the front, im sure there will be tons of after market body kits to make the front look better without 50 pointless ducts. p.s. im a s2000 owner and i think the back looks way better than the S. |

supra mkIV
I dont care wat anyone says but the mk IV is 10x better than this new model. They should just update the mkIV and make some minor changes. I bet if they started making the mkIV again the would make a shit load of money. Hopefully this will lower the prices of the mkIV ??? Does anyone kno where to find mkIV in florida to buy or a website of where to buy them from???? please get back to me

Toyota should not disgrace the supra by putting a V-8 in it, I love the supra because they are 6cyl, V-8, V-10, V-12 eaters. What they should do is put a 800hp 2jz-gte in it.

the reason they dont do that is cuz it would get terrible gas mileage, insurance would be a biotch, and it would like triple the price. dont get me wrong, i like where you were going with it but its just not ideal... im sure we will all like whatever they throw at us, i mean for gods sake they did make the mkiv. hopefully it will take the public eye off of the mkiv long enough so i can buy one...

Besides that, there not just going to put some old motor in no matter how good it is or how much people like it. Even thou its a good motor, The 2jz was designed in 1988. Im sure they want something a little newer.
