So I took the old black and red door panels and painted them this way...

I figured the flat black wouldn't look good with the gloss red so I sprayed them all black. I've finished spraying all of the interior so when it comes back I'm just going to swap all of they gray out for this stuff...

I need the inserts that are gray on this in the vinyl on the rear armrests...

I'm also going to keep the carpet out until I find a good sound deadener. I'm going to put as much of it as I can everywhere. So anyone have any input on a good brand?

No custom stitching. Just left everything as it was stock just made it a different color.

Another little tiny interior update...

I finished the rear armrest part, almost. Just waiting on someone to sell me the upper vinyl parts on it.

Hard to see but I sprayed the speaker grill black and I painted the "Live Sound" in the center red...

Another angle of the doors and rear armrests...

And a custom blacked out Toyota emblem for the front...

I'm going to check out the cars progress tomorrow, should be VERY close to being done.

The only thing left in the interior is to paint the interior trim around the quarter panel windows, get a lot of sound deadener/insulation, put the black carpet from my old Supra in, and rewrap the seats.

Another question, in Europe/Japan/Aus and wherever else they are RHD, is the drivers seat power like our drivers seat here? If so, 2 power seats here I come.

Wow, you got some sweet stuff going on!!

I just noticed, does the JDM cluster not have a oil pressure guage? Or did you change them out?

Lol, I gotta do something while I don't have my car. And that's one of the first things I noticed about the cluster. Most USDM clusters came with the voltmeter or boost gauge, oil pressure, fuel, and temp. gauge. I think the dude in Japan swapped out the oil pressure gauge for the boost gauge. The bezel is cracked right under the boost gauge as you can see, which is pretty hard to crack unless you are messing with it.

I've been researching a lot of sound deadeners as well. I've decided to use this stuff called RAAMmat. It's butyl based instead of asphalt so it won't get hot and smell up the car. Pretty expensive stuff though. It's $120 for a 62.5 sq. ft. roll. And the ensolite stuff goes on top of the RAAMmat to soak up some extra sound. The ensolite is $12 a yard. So this will be a pretty expensive project. I'm going to line the doors, firewall, floors, trunk area, etc... Maybe even a small layer in the headliner.

I'll be getting 2 rolls of the RAAMmat and 6 yards of the ensolite so the car should sound pretty good and by pretty good, I mean pretty quiet.

On another note, I'm going to start upgrading the sound system. Not sure on what speakers I'll be going with but I know I'll probably get a pair of 10" subs and some 6.5" speakers in the doors.

And this is the headunit that i'll be using and buying later this week...

The background color is changable, it has an iPod hookup on the back of it so you can route the wire to the glovebox or something and leave it hooked up but hidden at the same time, DVD, NAV, and everything else you can think of. The only bad part about it, is that if you want to play a CD or DVD you have to take the NAV disc out. But if you set a route on the nav system it'll save that route and you can take the disc out.

Lol.

So not much to update. I painted these awhile ago just never posted it. It's the RHD dual gauge pod with a ProSport Air/Fuel gauge and a ProSport oil pressure gauge.

I also started on a new project because I was starting to get bored.

I started tearing into a spare set of 89+ tail lights.

I'm going to be making myself some LED tail lights. I'm just going to pack them full of LEDs. I calculated somewhere around 500 red LEDs in all.

hey nice work so far. funny, I was thinking of making an LED board for supra taillights as well just yesterday. Now for the LED in the gauges, what kind of resistors were needed?
