I would go with an Aisin water pump which is what they came with stock, and get a OEM Toyota timing belt there $34 on driftmotion.com. Driftmotion has a ton of nice replacement parts.

There's no way in hell with adding that and the mods you already have that you'll be close to 500 whp. The stock CT is only good for about 350 whp. And they do make upgraded CT's they have a 57 trim...

Its possible that it died because you don't have you're bov recirculated. My 87 use to die same as you're explaining yours when I had a Greddy Type RS BOV which wasn't recirculated.
