happens when your turning with low gass level ?, if so then its moisture in the gass tank, Just a thought try cleaning dizy cap luggs ( inside cap ) emrypaper the rotor and all leads from / to...

Well if it was me I would take head off use old HeadGaskit as a base for a copper headgaskit, and make my own, takes one full day to make A head gaskit from copper sheet, and one day to pull apart...

;) Thrust bearing , happens when you take your foot off the cluch and quietens when clutch is pressed, sounds like a thrust bearing to me, and try ATF 50/50 mix with gearbox oil, that helps too.

Might help
By changing one thing you will have to chang other things to compensate , like yeng and yang, good and bad, theres 2 sides so to speek, : eg; if you put bigger exhaust on you will need better inlet...
