The way you are going with the cage sounds good to me that's the same way my 240sx is set up

and also your not going to weld the tubing right to the floor and ext.
Your going to weld the tub to a plate the the plate to the car right

I dont know what set up your going for but cusco makes a fully built and ready roll cage. hope you find what your looking for
