Default The orange cage indash light

I have a 1987 supra and when i turn a orange light comes on on the far left side. it has a picture of a cage or what looks to be a cage. I dont know what it means. I dont have the book it came with so i cant look at that. Could anyone tell me what that is? and what it means?

Cool

it means your reserve water bottle is low on fluid the bottle is upfront near the left side headlight

why the water bottle is low could be a whole other issue

Default I said it

Quite a while back I said we need a sticky about that damn "birdcage" light. Every newbie to this board asks that question.

it means your coolant is low. when you turn it uncovers the sensor and it turn on. whenyour going straight theres enough coolant to cover the sensor. just add some coolant to the overflow bucket by the left headlight

ha ha thanks it worked now i have to see if its leaking... cause there should not be any reason for the water to be gone right? i dont know anything about this car. I came from a 67 mustang. There is so much more on this car like a computer and such its a change... change of topic really quick does anyone know if you can put 90 tail lights on the 87 supra without changing the center thing? cause my friend says it can be done without the center thing. just learning and you all seem like you know what your talking about. I wish i knew more...
