I am going to buy the rebuilt kit, because its about $20 out here in canada. I am TRYING to track down that boost leak, but everything under my hood is covered in oil and crap....can I just flat out pressure wash my engine bay?
oh yeah....ALL my hoses are original....I basically just grade my hoses as HOW rotten are they....lol. I am doing a major hose replace session this saturday.

pressure wash is not recommended for the Supra. just way to many parts that dont like to get wet. I recommend you get yourself a couple cans of spray cleaner like Chemtool and a roll of paper "shop towels" and dig in.

I had the same problum (with the oily engine). What i found works best it get two or three cans of some stuff it is cald "gunk engine cleaner''. let the engine cool and just spray it down. use alot when you think you got it all spray more i used two cans and mine wasnt realy that bad. let it sit for 30 or 40 minute then rwash it off with a hose. do the exhust first then start the engine ant let it runn wile you finsh. try and kee away from wires and other eletricl stuff well good luck with the problum

thanks for the replies...however I think I will go more in depth on my problem. Again, I will include as much info as I know, with as in depth descriptions as possible as well.
First, a sputtering sound, each time I get that "sputter" it feels like my engine is working against me. It is less noticable at higher RPM's, I would say around 3,000RPM it starts to get easier. NOTE: My turbo kicks in at 3,000RPM as well So with that in mind, I'll keep going. When idling the car, it again makes those sputtering sounds, but it doesn't jolt my car the way the 800RPM - 2,500RPM range does. I have replaced my spark plugs with irydium ones, they are gapless, so you don't have to gap them...or something like that. I know I don't have to gap them, and that is all I care about knowing from that package. The can tire "Specialists" <-------LOL!!! told me to use these ones.....so I hope they didn't screw up. Anyways....I replaced spark plugs 3 weeks ago, and it ran fine after everything was assembled again. NOTE: I had to take the plastic cover off, then unbolt that vacume metal line....has four hoses connecting to it...anyways. I took off the ignition coils...or w\e those things are the plug wires connect to...and yeah, you guys probably know the drill. So I really can't figure out what it is, and it seems to get worse the longer I drive it at one time...well it DOES get worse. Stats: Engine Temp: just under half Oil Pressure: sits at 2 on the guage Warning Lights: None (did the jumper thing, E1 and T, and got code 11) I really don't know what is up....so yeah, help would be greatly apreciated! One last thing...the problem has progressed to an almost constant thing already, It seriously feels like I am running off of 4-5 cylinders....I can't even spin the tires in first unless I were to try to rev up....but yeah, I would break my engine doing that most likely. I have 225/50 on my supra rims, 16" rims.
