check for clogged/borken gas lines or lose hoses for the fuel smell.check for a broken/cracked vacuum line for the low rpm.

is it a burnt exhaust smell or fresh fuel smell?
are the vacuum pipes on the charcoal cannister or leaking? generally leaking vacuum lines will cause the idle to rise a little bit
