ive heard something similar to this. if you see reviews they say this is the best for the supra, but hey anyone can that about anything. so it really comes down to how much you want to spend and your preferences(crome, etc)

this is probably the best solution for your problem,
AEM has a new cold air intake system called the V2 i dunno if the make it for the mkIII but do call for aplications or check online aempower.com
now to sold the problem of the intake going accross the engine :
get yourself those intake insulations , they dont necesarily need a certain model and even some models come with laces so it doesnt matter how big opr small your intake is ,,, there you go problem solve
