So my buddy asks me the other day if i want to buy his car...knowing im in the market right now (mostly for a 1990 volvo 740 turbo)
So thens I asks "What are you sellin?"

So apparently hes got a 1985 Supra that he bought off a guy 2 years ago. The previous owner had it garage kept from 91-02 and only drove it 15,000km during that time. It has 158,000 km on it right now, not a spec of rust, no paint dings, scuffs or anything of the sort. This car looks mint.

Im thinkin its a good deal, but i just dont know toyotas that well...Im a Volvo guy.
He wants $3000 for it and im thinkin its a great deal, because i could probably turn it over for a bit more.
The interior and electrical instruments and whatnot are all working. I couldnt see a flaw.
Its the 5mge engine manual tranny, 60% rubber, and it goes like stink.

As I know with some volvo forums, there is always someone that can give you the goods on what to look for before buying it...mechanically and cosmetically. Im here looking for that someone.
If you could give me a few things to look for and what i might need to replace in the newar future, hook a brother up...I love the look of this car and the fact that it has some balls under the hood makes it even better.
Thanks for all your help. Im probably gonna give it the run down look through on the weekend.
Ryan

well i'm no expert when it comes to the northern side of the world
but for that we can easily buy a good turbo mk3 supra.... i would suggest looking around ebay, trade papers, magazines, car sites and just see what the going prices are for a mk2 before you make your decision

anyone else
