Default New & Proud Owner 93 Supra Baltic blue 5 spd n/a

Hi all, I finally was able to come across a local seller willing to let his Supra go for what I consider a reasonable, if not good, price. It is a 1993.5 Premier edition Supra in Baltic blue w/ 68k miles. All original and clean title only thing done was lowered on gravity spring, apexi exhaust, and no name front strut bar.
Bought the car for 12k but does need a tune up and timing belt done cause I herd toyota timing belts go after 60k+ which would prolly run me another 1k for all maintenece tune up. So in all I basically got the car for 13k. Pics of car below, does have bad swirl marks which I will be taking care of soon. Other then that everything seem to be running strong and reliable. Please chime in and let me know what you think of my car. Did I get a good deal? And how does it currently look as is. Thanks everyone, glad to be part of the community and hope to hear and learn more from everyone on here!

You should never go by what you "heard". You need to go by the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual. Mho.

Why not do the maintenance yourself? Invest in your own copy of the TSRM, and one job DIY pays for it in labor savings.

Thats the same year as I have, looks like a clean SUPRA to me! It's rare to find them in decent condition! Congrats on your find! Any plans for it in the future? Here is a picture of my 1993.5 , I just purchased it last month after looking for years to get a newer Supra! I am wingless dont know if I wanna wing or not though I love the look of yours with it! Love the blue again congrats & enjoy!

i think the price is decent, it does have very low miles which is a hard find these days

Thanks for the reply guys, I actually did some research and am planning to do as much service maintenece I can by myself with my limited tools and nice looking ride Cody. I am planning to get new rims for it soon as the stock 16's seem to cause my car to scrape on speedbumps outside my house =(

FYI: Your car is scraping because of the "lowered on gravity spring", and not the oem 16" rims.

Note that the oem suspension geometry is designed for either 16" or 17" rims, and the oem ride height. A lowered stance with bigger rims will provide a somewhat lower performing suspension: for example, it will have less travel (since it rides closer to the low limit bump stops), and it will be harder to get the correct alignment (esp. camber).

Of course, taller rims do look more trendy given the state of current automotive 'fashion'. If all you're going for is looks (and that may be the case since you're starting with an n/a), getcha some skinny dubs (20") and you'll def have one dope-phat-fly, tight-kickin' hooptie. I hope you don't mind me kidding around a bit for fun here.

Good info, thx and i just thought if I went with 18 inch wheels my car will raise up and avoid as much speed bump scrapes as possible. But I guess Ill just go with 17 inch and hope for the best

18s aren't that bad (only about 6% difference for the suspension geometry to handle). My main point is that you might also consider different springs (ones that don't lower your Supra as much) to solve the speed bump problem. After that, if you still want bigger rims, then get them ...but only because you want bigger rims. Make sense? There are several spring options to choose from - please let me know if you'd like some recommendations.

Be assured, you got a great deal! You definitely wont see yourself coming and going every day as Baltics are fairly rare.
Looks like your car came with a set of lowering springs a bit lower than the norm. For a good replacement spring set, use eibachs (NOT Pro's), combined with KYB adjustable shocks. You'll be very pleased with the result. Have fun with your new car, and if you ever want to sell it, PM me!
