Yeah, the turbos are able to produce enough PSI to get some good numbers, just upping the boost on them is enough to add a lot of power, but allowing the engine to breath better allows the turbos to spool up faster. To get the amount of power out of the N/A....well, there is only one way to increase power, burn more fuel, which means more air. Nitrous, forced induction (turbo, supercharger), or extra displacement are the only ways, and I don't think you're going to be able to bore out the engine large enough to get that much power

Save the trouble, get the turbo.
