Yep the turbos are ceramic, which makes them slightly less durable, iirc.

Are you trying to convert RHD to LHD? If not, most 'bpu' parts for a LHD US-spec Mkiv Supra TT will fit a Japanese-spec Mkiv Supra TT.

ok so i guess it is possible to replace the ceramic turbos with the steel ones. also, do you know if this website would be legit and a good idea if/when i decide to buy a supra, possibly import? Toyota Supra - How to Import a 1993 Toyota Supra MKIV | MK4 from Japan to Canada

I wouldn't recommend swapping out the ceramic turbos. Just drive the crap out of them, and upgrade to a single if/when you blow them.

Sorry I've never seen that website before. I will check it out though, and post back here if I find anything that's incorrect.
