The turbo's t-stat housing has more sensor ports (one or two more.. I think it's just one more though). It'd be easy to use a turbo t-stat housing on an N/A but not the other way around.

Also, dont keep adding just water. If it starts to get too much water into it could start to rust the coolant passages.

I have the same problem, but my cap is good. I did a compression test and got 110psi on #1 cylinder, the rest was at 150psi +/-4psi. What could it be?

You need a rebuild bud. It shouldn't go below 120 psi nor should it be above a 15 psi difference among the 6 cylinders.
