Water Pump!!!
My water pump blew its gasket today.
Nice impeller blades....  I am getting really sick of removing stuck on gasket material. I officially work on my car more than I drive it, and I've owned this car for 2 years. Its the perk of owning a 20 year old car I guess. It could be worse, I could have pulled the threads out when I took the bolts out. All of the bolts were loose (kinda like my head bolts were.....) the only things that were hard to take off were the 12mm nuts.  I'm ordering a new pump and gasket from the dealer. Anybody know how much a water pump is from a Toyota dealer? I'm not buying an aftermarket one because the impeller blades are made of cast iron. |
