These supras have plenty of power to drift. But using the 3s-gte is probably more money than it's worth. Pretty good balance too. I think its 47% in the front 53% in the back. The soarers came with 1jz-gte and 1jz-ge. The celica all-trac came with an AWD version of the 3s-gte and they came in MR-2s. They both come mounted sideways in the engine bay.

Well there you I believe its conclusive now
Its not worth the squeeze And ps I did not know what movie that came from, I ddnt know it was a line in a movie till you said it Still my favorite funniest false line is: "He has a motec system exhaust" It will go down as the worst line in a movie for me

Well, you can only drift with a RWD car. But I'm sure already knew that. The only way I can think of doing it is taking a 3s-gte from an MR-2 and mating a supra transmission to it and making custom tranny and engine mounts, and a custom driveshaft.

hmm that seems like alot of work just to set it up for drifting. i agree with everyone else, i dont think its worth the amount of money and work involved. your better off just stickin with the 7mgte or swapping it with a 1jz/2jz, with the 7mgte you will have to keep up on oil, check it before you drift it. the oil tends to slosh around in there. but just get yourself some good coil overs, strut bars, and a cheap set of tires or maby some good drift tires if your willing to spend. and you can drift that supra like there is no tomorrow. hell i drift mine everyday. and its almost completly stock. its not that hard of a car to drift you just goto get the feel for it, learn how heavy it is, have a feel for when you need to give it more gas. just go drift in a big empty parking lot in the middle of no where and do perfect donuts and figure 8's you'll get it down. if you lived closer id teach you how to do it

Its ALOT of work to try and get a transversely mounted engine to sit longitudally. I schemed up a plan to try and do that with the japan exclusive version of the sr20vet, which is a rare version of the sr20det with vvti like timing control for nissan on my 240sx. BUT after alot of research decided that there was waaaay to much fabrication involved and labor for the benifits. Although in ur case there is no physical power gain like there would be in my swap, urs is completely pointless. And even if you wanted to TRY and get this engine to sit transversely in a supra (impossible), it wouldnt be a drift car. I mean yea there are light crx's and light older civics that drift, but there not a 3700lb rwd front heavy car...
