Unhappy Getting code 24 & 51....

Anyone know what might be wrong??? The car currently is running with an unplugged tps... But I already had the Mass Airflow sensor replaced with a used one... Every time I take my intake of there is oil in it.. There is also oil in my intercooler piping. Does any one think the oil in my intake and intercooler piping is from a bad oil seal in the turbo? Any HELP will be appreciated...

Code 51 is definitely your throttle position sensor. Why is it unplugged?

Did you clear the codes after you swapped MAF sensors?

Code 24 as you know is the air temp sensor (which is integral to the Mass Air Flow meter) or the CIRCUIT. Since you already tried swapping sensors and are still getting the code (that is IF you cleared the codes after swapping sensors), you should get yourself the TSRM and check the circuit with a multimeter.

Oil in the intake track is from the PCV system. Thats why they sell catch cans.

Default Thanks for the response....

The TPS is unplugged because when at 2000 rpm the car surges at idle.. If I drive at 2000 rpm for a while, when coming to a stop the car drops idle and dies. When I unplugged the TPS this issue goes away almost completely. It completely goes away if before stoping I downshift for a second so the comp can adjust the air/fuel. I want to adjust the tps to see if its bad or just not adjusted. My ohm's setting doesnt work on my voltmeter so I cant adjust it. Tommorow I am going to buy an voltmeter that works. If the tps is bad them im gonna replace it.

My question about the catch can is, why do I need to get one if the car didnt come with it. Why is oil getting in the intake like that? Is it supposed to? Thanks for all the help.

Code 51 is a maladjusted TPS (often given as "IDLE CONTACTS OPEN"). Erase the codes from the ECU and drive around with the TPS plugged in and do another diagnostic. I believe there is another code for a completely non-working TPS.

Default oil in piping

Oil in the pipings can be a sign of a blown turbo
Have you checkd if you're turbo have any shaftplay?
How's your car going anyways?
I'm hoping to see all the IL supras running this summer
Season starts again within 5 months
So we all got 5 months to get our cars ready

I don't wanna scare you or anything
Cuz I had both codes when my car was running like crap
I'm not sayin its directly recomend
Checking you turbo real quick
If you're still having the oil in your ic piping
It would also be likely that its in ur intake pipe

Default ya probably the turbo..

It might be cause the oil is everywhere.... However my car doesnt burn oil! Thank God for that lol. Instead of replacing my turbo I was thinking of just swapping in a low milage jspec 7m. I want to go 1jz, but dont want to waste all that money on a car that needs its rear quarter panels replaced because of rust.... I was woundering... Is the jspec a direct bolt and plug in motor? Are they the same as our U.S. 7m's??? If they are. I think I am gonna just get a jspec in the spring when im off of college.

Red face lol forgot to mention..

The reason I wanna replace the engine is that I did a compression test on my car with a standard piston tester and I got 125,129,126,125,123,125... The normal factory spec for a solid motor is 142 or higher and the lowest recommended by TOYOTA is 127. So my motor is a little worn out. Its right about to hit 139,000 miles.. I found out the turbo has NEVER BEEN REPLACED! Still boosts strong lol.
