Dont no unless your planning on running like 400 somthing horspower the only thing that really matters is if you have a good clutch for the trans cause the w58 or what ever it is will work with the car but you need to have a nice clutch for it to hold the horsepower from the turbo

the brake pedal takes 10 mins putting the clucth pedal and master is a snap but make sure you have the clucth lines set up before you set up your master. i wasnt able to finish my swap but putting the pedals in were deffinatly the easiest part. (dont know how to wire them up) to figure out what trans you have look on top of the gear box and there are thoose grove things. mcompare them with this photo. this is a r-154 and it came out of a turbo supra.

if you want over 350 hp you want to get a r-154 (turbo) trans because it can hold like over 1000hp but if you dont want to go over 350 you can use the w58 (n/a) trans. the one in the pictures above is a r-154(turbo). Questions??

for the brake pedal there is a 14mm nut and bolt. i found it was easier to take the black box off that is right above the steering coloum (a 10 or 12mm bolt dont forget how this goes on.) once that is off you be able to use a rachet, extender, and 14mm socket. fit that on one bolt and then use a 14mm wrench. it might be a bit of a nuckle buster.
for the clucth pedal you need the bracket as well. if you look under the hood in the driver side corner you will see 3 holes 2 small ones for bolts and one larger one. when you have all the clucth lines set up you will be able to put in the master cylinder. you put it in place and then go under the dash and put up the clucth pedal bracket and put on the nuts and bolts and your done. |
