you need to find out what is causing your knock sensor to go out
is it throwing a check engine light? i take it you did a diagnostic and it threw code 52 usually the terminal inside the knock sensor plug is not making a good connection or the knock sensor is shorting out http://www.supras.com/06/techcenter/display.php?QID=69
