Does anyone know what the pins are called that are put in the cams to keep the timing gears from slipping?

I just gave you the part number, you could just tell them to order the things and save the lip.

Otherwise, they're about 1cm long and approx 5mm in diameter. Take a cam gear to the machine shop and tell them you need an alignment dowel for it and they should have no problem setting you up. If the gear is properly torqued there is insufficient force to shear even a mild steel dowel, but cold rolled would be my minimum preference.

Of course I do... but it'd be quicker if you look in the FAQ section.

Car is running fine with a occasional pop in my exhaust, but the car won't boost right in first gear and then when I shift into second the car drops and hits 12 lbs in the tap of the pedal.....is that jus the boost lag or could it be something else?

sounds like a timing issue. just kinda wierd you get no boost in 1st, and the hammer drops in second. any boost or exhaust leaks? backfiring still makes me wanna think timing...
