Strut bars don't do much for the MKIII, really... You'll be better off investing in a stiffer sway bar and replacing all the worn out bushings.
If twist is an issue and it's not a hard top welding in an X brace under the targa top (to essentially make it a extra rigid T-top) and adding more bracing underneath the car in the center may help significantly.

car is a hardtop, with a full cage welded in so I doubt if I'm getting much flexing, so I'm not sure strut bars would help us alot (willing to give it a try) . i am sure bigger sway bars and poly bushings would help quite a bit. anyone have a source for the polybushings - and maybe a beefier sway bar? There used to be several brands of sway bar for the MKIII available. Some were monsters and other really won't any better than a fresh OEM unit. Whiteline is one of the few that are still produced and available in the US.
Prothane is the popular choice for the bushings in a lot of my circles... Energy Suspension is another brand (Horsepower Freaks carries these). I don't know if any of these companies makes a full kit for the MKIII Supra but I think someone did a group buy of a full kit on SM quite a while ago; It may be worth looking for to find out which manufacturer it was. Suspension Techniques makes sway bars for the MKIII Supra. It'll probably be less expensive than the Whiteline but a fraction softer.
