Default ign timing?

alright let me start out with this. yes I used the search button and looked through the FAQs I even googled it.
now that thats out of the way heres the question
I know that when you jump the box the timing is 10btdc on the 7mgte, But the engine is not in a supra and has a full wire tuck (which means no diag box) so what am I supposed to set the timing at without the jumper anyone know?

That's a tough one. Why would you do that? It's not so bad, those wires eventually went to the ecu. You just need to find out which ones they were at the ecu and jumper them there.

thats alot easier said then done every wire was cut at both ends and ran individually to keep them out of sight and I did this because I didnt want to see them and because the wires were pretty much all shot beyond saving. I figured someone whose timing is know to be good could just slap a timing light on their engine and let me know what it shows at idle. my car runs it just seems a little sluggish lately it was spinning through 2nd gear a few days ago now it catches about half way through i havent lost any boost and have no misses etc. which points me to timing but the engine only has 400 miles on it so id rather not just go advancing the timing without atleast some sort of baseline of what to look for.

I'd still look for the pins in the ecu. I wouldn't want you to mess up the engine. What year is the ecu from? We can try and find a diagram. The engine wont show you base timing unless the pins are shorted, otherwise it's just going to show you the corrected timing. Also it would be good to be able to check VF voltage to help with tuning it and if there are any codes stored. You can make your own diagnostic box to do all of this.

I've got a bunch of diagrams I just figured it'd be easier this way than hacking into my wires again i guess i can just put in some t-taps with spade connector ports as long as its not one of the wires i removed completely

Try it. If you need help or get stuck on something, just post. The harness can be re-pinned if necessary.
