Question Transmission

I have a Supra lined up 300 bucks. No motor, no transmission, good exterior and interior is... well, I don't care. Drivers seat has cracks in the leather.

So my question is, anyone got a suggestion for a transmission? Whats an approxamit cost? Is a MK2 Celica Supra the same transmission?

depends on where you are

but yep
any w58 or r154 will work... just make sure you get the bellhousing suited for the engine (assuming you are going 7m or jz) for jz and using a w58 get a 2jz bellhousing
for 7m just any m series bellhousing apparently works

Sorry about another post with another undoubtably stupid question, but does the mk2 have an M series bellhousing? When I go and snake that 5 speed, can I also get the bell housing? I'll be putting in a 7m motor.

"apparently" the 5m bellhousings also bolt to the 7m

altho i haven't done it personally so i would suggest measurements on the 7m block
