Hi!
As a thought? - have you checked the transmission oil level? This is completely different to a manual transmission, and uses different oil, first start the engine, then put the gearstick through ALL of the stick positions ( P,R,N,D,2,1 ) without moving the car ,and finally back into PARK with the handbrake on ,and with the engine STILL RUNNING - take out the dipstick -it's under the inlet manifold at the rear -it has a clip holding it in place - wipe it clean and re-insert it ,remove and check the reading , this will give the correct level in the gearbox , the excess has gone to fill up the torque converter , thats why its so very high at rest. There are hot and cold HIGH AND LOW reading markers, the oil expands when hot! ,top-up if required , using a small funnel and a steady hand, through the dipstick tube with the engine stopped. |
