car won't start
Hi!
Had the very same problem after overhauling my cylinder head!-would not rev beyond 2000 rpm !-- I overcame it by marking the direction of rotation ( DOR) of the rotor arm on the rocker cover and moving the distributer ( advance-earlier spark -- AGAINST the DOR )and RETARD-- later spark -WITH the DOR ) and move the distributer until the revs peaked and then locked it --it may be too far retarded and quickly overheats. I then checked the timing marks and nothing seems to line up BUT the car revs nicely, and takes a long time to open the thermostat now -- how weird is that?. |
