knock sensor replacement - Page 2

Does anybody actually know what the knock sensors do?????
I have a turbo, therefore, I have two on my 7mgte.

In Cygnus, the only place I can find knock sensors, are on the EFI section.
Is it for EFI or something else??????/

It's for efi. It senses cylinder ping or knock caused from pre ignition. And adjust timing accordingly!

They r tiny microphones that pick up pings and knocks. Then they tell the ecu to adjust the timing and the fuel to stop the pings and knocks.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooo, so i have a N/A ,7mge, for parts, I can use the knock sensor on that one to put on my turbo 7mgte right??????
