Exclamation Internals

So I'm pulling the engine out of my mk3 supra and will be taking apart the whole thing. I figured i should pick up some after market pieces for speed such as rods and maybe pistons for the lower end and cams for the top to go with a clean port and polish. Anyone know the best bang for your buck pistons and cams?? I have a link for some rods I'm looking at if anyone has feed back ..I'm trying to achive high 400s- high 500s daily driving and the car not break down on me

Rods link --> http://www.maperformance.com/eagle-f...rs5984t3d.html

Question

Those IMO Are the best rods available. I have ran them on 3 Honda engines one over 750hp never had one break. But I might add I had the genius of honda tuning it...enough of hondas though.

Now for pistons i would go with either JE or CP. Both are about bullet proof ( with a good tune) and can be bought as a set with eagle h beam rods.

Now cams. And valvetrain. I would go with Brian crower. Prob 264 if ur gonna drive it on the street. BC cam are newer to the market compared to say comp cams or edelbrock. But BC is growing FAST and tonz of supra guys are running his cams! He tends to focus mostly on imports! He makes great springs and titanium retainers...

Dont forget the fuel system as well. Which I kno u are only asking for internal parts. But I am really bored and broke my hand yesterday so I have nothing else to do but talk. I myself am gonna go with a EMS stinger standalone computer. There again a lot of supra guys are running these so u can find a base map to get u running and then tune from there. This is the most important part! You can have the best parts in the world but with a bad tune either be slow or worse. blow something up. Not to mention you could hit 500 as a low mark and more like 600 as a high! Don't forget injectors. I'd suggest bout 680cc with Walbro 255 in tank and one inline. and of course an AFPR.

Good luck!

Where can I find the rods and pistons as a set? And I can imagine fuel cut off will be a big problem after those mods. For injectors I go to the junk yard and search threw cars, I picked up 550cc injectors but still the rest of the crucial parts. 680cc would be alot better so where do I begin to look? and for the rest of those fuel parts

You will be so far past fuel cut at those power levels your forget what it is.. if you use the EMS stinger you can adjust fuel cut to whatever you want. If you use oem ecu with a piggy back you will need hks fcd but that is not really fully adjustable pretty much has just a few settings and none of them are written in stone. But they do work great to get the job done!

I hope you know you will need a bigger turbo to make those power levels.

I really dont reccomend running junkyard injectors! Without atleast sending them out to get rebuilt and mapped! which cost almost as much as new injectors See links.

here is some links to some parts....

@Travis89Turbo yea very expensive, but few intems now then save up and a few later.. It's a process but thanx bro you helped alot!! As for bigger fuel pump what do you suggest? And the car is stock minus piping and all the goodies to make it breath well where do you suggest I start? Rods, and fuel mods to be set for the future?.. Then save for cams, turbo and injector little by little?
