Default Pick My next upgrades!!

Help me pick my next UPGRADES!! So far I have..

1988 Supra MK3 Turbo (HEAD REDONE)
My upgrades are..
AEM Air intake
3'' full exhaust (STOCK DOWN PIPE)

I was thinking down pipe, boost controler, compgate 40 bov, turbo timer, boost gauge... (This is all in one visit to the shop)

I have 1500 to spend.. Shop will be installing everything.. I think I can get it all done for 1500 or less.. What do you think I should do.. My HP wishes are 300-350 for now.. After my rebuild I will shoot up for 400-450HP just with bigger turbo and better internals.. But for NOW I want to do some upgrade and get myself into 300-350hp!! Maybe I will dip into the BIGGER TURBO EARLY! But at least lets setup some good mods for now..

I should be sitting up at 250HP now..

Please post your advise.. I will be doing updates up to the completion of the approved list that I see the best things for myself in FUN, and GAIN!!

My above choices should put me to 300hp.. Which is just below fuel cut.. Well, I think it's just 320ish, but whatever!

Generally, 3" exhaust, boost controller (boost gauge, although all you need that for is to verify your settings so you dont kill anything) and you will notice a massive difference. However when you alter the cars performance, you start other little chains.. (like fuel cut, etc.) I dont think you want to up the boost with a stock bov either.. but someone else can confirm that. And if you up the boost, I believe you will want to research modifying the waste gate. (again.. I am learning this as well, but have experienced a 10-12 psi Supra compared to stock.. and its quite noticable)

AEM BOOST CONTROLLER/GAUGE

Wow, I didn't realize that it's like an all in one.. Maybe I am wrong.. Well, anyways.. From what I read on their site.. It does the gauge and the control.. Am I wrong..? Anyways, I can do this instead of doing 2 seperate things in a gauge and then a controller. BTW I want to adjust boost from the driver seat.. NOT, under the hood!!

I beleive the AEM Boost controller/gauge (depending on which one you get/have) will monitor the air/fuel ratio, boost - adjust and see what it is)

Far more expensive but does allow you to do it from the comfort of the cockpit rather than opening the hood.

I think I can do the DP and the AEM True boost installed for 800.. the BOV would need to come in to play here.. the CompGate 40 would be 314... That's 1200 installed.. That should give me a fantastic platform.. Next would be the look (paint and rims)..
FINALLY A PROFESSIONAL TUNING!!!!
THAT'S 1500 TOTAL!!
What do you think??

Yes I know if I did it myself I would save money but I can't where I live.. An no friends = more folks that I don't have to feel bad about as I pass on the highway with the petal to the floor.. unfortunately that also = no friends garage or help.. fu#& !T! I would rather pass them on the high way!

Bring on your flashing lights..

Start small, but build with room to grow. 3" exhaust.. good, AEM wideband, boost controller, wastegate.. good. The IC, 550 RC low impedance fuel injectors, fuel pump, Lexus AFM upgrade can be added later on. Keep the engine maintained, tight and dont ignore small problems and you can just keep adding on to it. Also, watch your engine temp when you start pushing. If you start noticing the heat creeping up, you will have to pay attention to the cooling system. Remember.. aluminum head, cast iron block.. they expand differently.. so if you keep spiking the heat you can end up with a bit of warpage and a huge headache.. : )

Generally without a full build, I like upgrading over a longer period of time and letting the engine tell me what it doesn't like. No sense building for 450+ HP and then watching everything blow apart (amazing how many cars you see for sale that had these nice upgrades, but are now selling because they have rod knock, or blown head gaskets)

Just a little note too.. if you do get injectors.. RC's are fairly reliable, but you should flow test them to ensure your not putting a faulty one in. Nice to know they all do their job correctly.
