Well im sorta in a ditch atm
i need 600+ for a cam sensor and new brake master cylinder
so im trying to NOT spend money

cps cost 520 dollars? id just re furbish it , so to speak.

600, thats alot. I'd try to get a used one or search the junkyards. But if you want a new toyota one, magauto has it for 486.55.

It's pretty uncommon that they fail so lack of demand has just as much affect on price. I'd get a used one and in the worst case swap pickups between the two for one good unit long before I bought a new one... hell you can even use a N/A distributor without the rotor and cap.

I really dont want to buy one and it breaks again
i have to jiggle my cps wire each time i go to start my car
so im going to buy one from stealership :/
could the cps rebuild kit help me?

My car's busted, and nothing's running right and I can't really afford to fix it, but I'm going to throw every possible nickle mod I can think of at it to see just how much it takes to break everything else.
