problems with abs

I would say this was... DEFINITELY NOT FAULTY ABS, AVOID RIP OFF GARAGE!!!

ABS is inoperative on any vehicle unless under heavy braking and then it employs a pump/valve system that releases pressure to any wheel starting to lock, sensed by it's ECU by a sensor on each wheel. the vast majority of ABS faults will show as the ABS light on the dash (the ABS is then switched off & you have normal non-antilock braking). Only in very limited circumstances, if ever, could ABS faults affect the way the car drives/brakes under normal conditions (so limited that I am confident in my above big black statement.)

The pulling to the left problem would more likely be associated with a siezed/sticking caliper or contaminated/worn out brake linings.

My advice would be that, if you're not confident playing with stuff like this yourself, best to find a different garage or someone who knows what they're talking about... please don't give that shop 100's of $$$ to "replace your ABS" while they perhaps replace a $25 set of pads
