I'd pull the maintenance cover off of the backside of each assembly (plastic cover in hatch area) and pop the bulb holder out (big white thing that holds the bulbs for that particular assembly). You'll notice that the there are little ring terminals that are screwed down into the plastic that act as the ground for the tail lights. Unscrew them and clean up the connection there so that there is no corrosion between the screw and terminal. That will likely fix your issue, as corrosion is very common on the tail lights.
