I'm still in the process of removing my bumper to replace a passenger front quarter panel. I've never had this much trouble with panel removal. I've done countless bumper removals with other cars but I guess it's all part of owning a mk3 =)

It took me a week to finally find these diagrams but they helped alot

Early and late bumper!!!

and the fender!

I agree with CRE, it would be better to post up some pictures. I plan on taking some the next time I go attack it but the weather has been crap latly =/
