Default Power Steering Fluid

Information:
1989
Non Turbo
Automatic

If you need any other information just ask.

I had her(yes I call my car a her) for about a month now, and I noticed that she might be leaking Power Steering Fluid.
I bought the car for $700, knowing work will need to be done, but the previous owner took NO care of it at all. There wasn't even break pads on the rear driver side, and I had to replace the caliper. Anyways, When I bought the car it had almost 0 power steering fluid in it, and I'm un certain how long it's been driven like that. I filled her up to the Max line, and probably about a week later I noticed it was a little below the Min line. It's been that kind of tug and pull since then, I fill it up to the max line, it drops down a little below the min line.

I'm just lookin for information of what everything I need to fix the issue. This is my first Supra, and I'm trying to completely restore her.

Depends on where you're losing the fluid at. Could be a line, not too bad to fix. Could be the seals on the rack, which generally means replacing it. Just need to figure out precisely where your problem actually is.

Check the cap on the resevoir also. I bought an MKIII in March of this year for the same amount you did, but it needs work likes yours. I have a PWS leak also, when i opend the cap i noticed that the plastic seal on the cap just drop off like real thick liquid, which of course caused air to get in there and fluid to spill since it wasn't air tight due to the damaged plastic seal. Cheack that first and replace if you can, but you may need to replace the whole system or atleast the pump for know.

Thanks mate yeah, I'm really gonna have to check that out. Man this car is gonna be a lot of work, but in the end it will be worth it.
