Default power steering noise

my power steering shows very obvious signs that its leaking, and it makes loud annoying noises when i turn the wheel. its also kinda hard to turn when its not moving. i know that its going out, but i was wondering, why bother with it and i want to just eliminate it. what do i need to do to get rid of it. it'd also help cool the turbo as its directly in front of the turbo.

very nice, its a sweet fender in my opinion, someone mentioned a tranny, is tht the one that comes on the turbomodel. i found a junked 87 turbo standard. i would love to do a swap, automatic just isnt for supra's.

don't know specifically on the supra - but there are lots of aftermarket solutions. You could just take the rack and run the hoses so it's a closed loop - then remove the PS pump - but then you will need a new set of pulleys to route the belt.

Kind of hard to turn when it's not running? thats what it will be like all the time if you eliminate it.

ps pumps are cheap - 50 - 100 bucks at any autoparts store. To eliminate the PS - you are probably looking at 250 - 600 bucks to do it right - add another 200 if you plan on replacing the actual rack!

I am not sure but I think you should change it now.
