don't know specifically on the supra - but there are lots of aftermarket solutions. You could just take the rack and run the hoses so it's a closed loop - then remove the PS pump - but then you will need a new set of pulleys to route the belt.
Kind of hard to turn when it's not running? thats what it will be like all the time if you eliminate it. ps pumps are cheap - 50 - 100 bucks at any autoparts store. To eliminate the PS - you are probably looking at 250 - 600 bucks to do it right - add another 200 if you plan on replacing the actual rack! Carl Johansson |
