ya the oil was almost at 0 and theres no shops down here whith a good rep that knows about turbo supras i think im just gana buy a rebuild one from a comp. i saw on line then try to go al out on my old one.

Spend your money well. A truly well-built engine is going to cost you more, but you'll be better off in the long run for having spent the extra money on it. That'll give you plenty of time to rebuild your old one to whatever spec you want for it.

She runs, but is back in the shop right now so they can fix what their guy who installed the engine screwed up. Should be back out today or tomorrow, then I'm stripping the interior out to scrub the carpet and seats. Then it's on to compounding & polishing the paint to try and salvage it since I don't have the $ for a new paint job right now.
It was a car I rescued from going to a junkyard, been working on it about 1.5 years. Reman'd engine, cleaned and sealed gas tank, new fuel pump, new sending unit, lots of new parts in the engine compartment. It's a project. |
