Tried from the top right forearm is scratched to hell now. I don't see how you could even get this out of the car if you managed to get that top bolt loose. I can't see it and the one I can reach is a 12mm not a 14 mm so I don't think that one is right. Damn I wish I had a lift. Gonna try getting the wires free from the starter and see if it gives me any more room. What a PAIN IN THE ASS!

Yeah for anyone doing a hg it is a good idea to do the starter too like I did. It is way easier without the head on.

I can't get my arm in there. What do I have to take off from the top to get to that bolt? The entire manifold?

When I did mine, I stuck the box end of a wrench on the top bolt (the hex that faces the front of the car), and used a ratchet with about 24" of extensions and I think a u-joint adapter with my socket on the end. I went at it along the topside of the transmission body, up to the bolt

So far I can't even get more than a finger tip on this bolt I don't understand how you were able to get to it from the rear. Did you take anything off? Thanks
