i have a mkIII with a 1jz motor and i was wondering if i could use 2jz cams? thanks

I am not sure that the 1JZ cams will work. Also depends on what 1JZ you have if it is the VVTI then you are pretty much out of luck. Which cams are you looking at?

im kinda new to the whole car thing i have a 1jz 2.5l twin turbo and a friend suggested getting cams and a fuel rail out of a 2jz motor

It seems like I have herd that you can do that.

But once you start swapping cams you start throwing off the vafm.

I thought about gte cams on my ge. But to make it work you have to find a way to manipulate the vafm.

And that means maf-pro.

Tell your friend to hot rod his own shit. Before he helps you blow yours up.

Supradaddy has some very good points as well.

It will depend on years and all of that.

Try not messing with perfection until you get it tweaked right and see if you dig it.

You can't just mod these cars up. Especially with new cams.

Research research research.
