I'm wondering what the difference between a 1986 and 1986.5 supra is?

there was never realy just a 1986...because they started the MKIII production in the middle of 1986 -mohammed

bad mo! i had an 86. manufacturing date was feb/86. the 86 was still the mk2 body style. 86.5 is the mk3.

82-86.5 = MK2
86.5 - 92 = MK3
93-98 = MK4
