Burton's supra is fucking beautiful...
Supra Stock - a set on Flickr Here is my supra, Just got it. Interior is about the best you will find on a supra (except the steering wheel and top of back seats). Exterior leaves some to be desired, will be getting body work done by the end of the summer. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3130/...ea2681.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3054/...145108.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3175/...39da27.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3173/...1dbb52.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3031/...b6f3f8.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3142/...4cdcc8.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3263/...54ef2b.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3082/...e87158.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3026/...e829cc.jpg?v=0 What I will be doing to this supra: Speakers (previous owner kept them) Paint, Hopefully red, if not black Fix Trim on sides FIX DUCT TAPE ON AIR FILTER New steering wheel Reupholster back seats Fix front drivers door lock (works great, but missing the door keeping dust out) Fix illumination warning light, right now the detector is just unplugged Rid rims of brake dust (Any ideas?) New muffler/exhaust system What else do you think needs to be done? This is my FIRST car so this work will be done slowly as I have little money (I am 16) I have loved supras for a long time and they are pretty rare in my area Lakeville MA, (south coast of boston). The car may not be the best supra, but it is a great feeling driving around in it, looking as bad as the exterior does, and still turning heads. One annoying thing however is: Me: "I drive a supra" Friend: "Really!!!?? What Year? Me: 1988, mark 3 Friend: "oh..." |

This is my 86.5 n/a 5speed supra, i havent done anything to it yet, but my friend who i bought it from did what i listed below. I bought it from a friend for $300 cause he was movin n i couldnt pass it up. Hopfully getting a motor here in the next week or so. My friend got it from some ass who told him he put a new clutch in it and the motor ended up throwing a rod cause the guy used clear silicon for selant on the oil pan and it clogged the oil pump(Yah what a dumbass). So my friend lost his ass on the car since he had to move and never got to do the 1j swap he planned. And it ended up the clutch wasnt even new.
The only modifications are: Exhaust: Dual 2 1/2 inch from down pipe back, yes that is 5 inches of free flow no cats or mufflers loud as hell too. Suspension: Eibach Springs Pro Kit So hopfully i can get a motor here soon and start working on it, i plan on doing a 7m-ge to 7m-gte swap or a na-t conversion probably the swap. But i figured i would post this up cause this is my car and you all wanted cars os here you go, ill try to keep it updated. When i figure out how to put more pics up i will get more up here. |

Those wheels look familiar! My current use of this car is to learn about cars and go fast on road courses. The fun part is trying to get this 20 year old car faster than the new stuff out there. Would be cheaper to just go buy an STi or EVO but not as much fun or satisfaction. NOTE: The license plate play-on-words can be taken many ways. 'Anti-EVO Toyota", "Devolved Toyota", "Devoted to Toyota", or just simply a fun car with a little tongue-in-cheek..."DEVO toy". (Actually was a DEVO Spudboy inspiration but I'll go with anything or not.) 1988 Toyota Turbo Supra – (7M-GTE) Manual trans I am original owner. Purchased in California November 1987. Remained stock until the summer of 2006 and 68,000 original miles. Currently 72,000 original miles. Current development as of July 20, 2008 Engine 1) Metal HG with ARP studs 2) Turbo rebuild/upgrade by Majestic Turbo, TX to 48 trim. 3) K&N intake/filter 4) Flex-a-lite electric engine cooling fan 5) Lexus MAF (with stock Supra sensor) 6) HKS Super Drager Catback exhaust (95 mm or 3.75 inch piping) 7) Blitz SBC i-D (boost controller) 8) AEM EMS (Dyno tuned) Other 1)TEIN flex Coilovers with EDFC 2)JICTower struts (front and rear) 3)235/45 ZR17 Toyo RA1’s Wish list 1)New down pipe 2)New intercooler with hard pipes 3)Good racing seats 4)Racing harness seat belts 5)Roll bar 6)Better wheels track-specific with a little larger in back, new set RA1’s 7)What ever else it takes for more road-course speed |

1988 Toyota Supra Turbo... love it! http://www.gdscentral.net/88supra/7575_20.jpg http://www.gdscentral.net/88supra/757c_20.jpg http://www.gdscentral.net/88supra/74f8_20.jpg Edited May 19, 2025 Pics seem to have disappeared... lol. (I have them still, though), the car got destroyed by a young girl running a red light. (Ford Escape @ 70 kph with zero braking hitting passenger side front corner ... ford won that round) Now I am in a 1987 remake of the car (a bit better than where I was... ) appraised at 82,400 replacement (fyi) These cars are getting rarer and rarer... |
This is my 87 N/A. Eibach pro kit springs, tenzo formula 10 17"s, Flat black thanks to a gravel+tree :)

here is my 88 supra gte that i bought from a buddy for 1000.00 canadian. it has a jdm engine with about 80,000km on it. it was in rough shape so i painted the car, the rims and the calipers. i ordered a new downpipe, elbow, intercooler pipe and tokicko suspension. (non tems because i am too cheap to replace with the tems systems). it aint perfect, but its way nicer than the day i picked it up. the colour is forest green pearl metallic and yes, i painted it in my front yard. (hillbilly style). i will hopefully be on the road next month. i havent even got the chance to drive it yet. :crazy2:

Wow, thought I'd posted my baby in here before. apparently not. Here goes with some pics admittedly from last year, simply 'cause we ain't had the weather to get her all waxed up n sexy yet this year...
|
I have never seen that dash in a MKIII before (digital). Are those available or did you mod one?
|
I'm going to sticky this thread. I'm going to try to keep this a pics only thread though. If you have a question for someone you may want to send them a PM as any comments will probably only be up for a day. If your post has expired links or missing images it will be removed.
Do NOT post any Supra other than the one you own presently or one you've owned in the past, not someone elses (this includes the one you plan on buying next week after you get your next pay check). Please do not use more than 1 post to show off your vehicle... If you think it deserves more attention we have a section just for that. With all that said... let's see those beauties!!! :bigthumb: |
