http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...301_150253.jpg Just bought my first Supra today. An '88 MKIII with the Targa top and 7GME engine. Needs a good bit of cosmetic work, which I fully intend to have done. Looking forward to enjoying this car :D |

I really love the Starion rims on Mk3s I can't wait to get my MK3 then I will be on the hunt for those rims. Is there anyway to get them to not stick so much is that unavoidable?

Pearly white with blue stripes. Completely redone blue leather interior. For sale, btw. http://s1193.photobucket.com/albums/...upra_right.jpg Ron |
I have a question about the Starion rims, if you get 16x7s all around will it stick out that much?

My '88 Supra, currently on 16x7 Starions.....
http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...p/Supra092.jpg http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...p/Supra097.jpg http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...p/Supra102.jpg http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...p/Supra104.jpg 16x7s don't poke out nearly as much as 16x8s, but the 8's require fender rolling to keep them from cutting into the tire (if the car is lowered). I had a set of 8's and were running them staggered with the 7's but had to switch to 7's all-around because of how bad they would cut. Moot point anyway, now I'm looking to get 18" wheels to support a big brake kit for more stopping power. With a built 2JZ going in to replace my aging 7M, I'm gonna need all the stopping power I can get! http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...p/SAM_4850.jpg |
Gorgeous.
I want a 1jz, only because I can stick 2 turbos on it and have to do the least modifications. My 7m is aging too. Only 120k miles on it though.. |

1987 Supra Turbo that I bought in 1996 for $5,200 at the LAX car auction. When I got it home, I found out why it was there. It needed a head gasket which I put on that lasted 100,000 miles. It had 110,000 when I bought it and now it has 292,000. I'm on my third engine, second transmission, and second driveshaft and differential. Everything in the drive train has been rebuilt as of 2014. At the moment, I'm overhauling the rear brakes / parking brakes totally. Any car will run forever as long as you throw parts, money, and time at it. I currently don't have the Lexis airflow meter or aftermarket air filter or the 550cc injectors pictured. I went back to stock in an effort to get the best mileage possible which is about 18 to 19 mixed driving. I'm looking for a excellent condition 86 to 87 gray checkered cloth driver or passenger seat that I can skin to rebuild my driver's seat for the second time.
