Default Low idoling missing.

At about 500 to 600 rpms, it sounds like it is missing. It stall every now and then.

I replace the air filter that is when it started. I notice my plastic intake from the air filter box to the throttle body, some are cracked.

Also I am have problems of overheating, I thought it was a head gasket but no water in the oil, no oil in the antifreeze, no white smoke or water out the tail pipe.

Any suggestions?

check your intake piping for leaks as well as vacuum lines. it would not hurt to throw a timing light on it.

Try ebay or your local craigs list for a part out. The toyota number for the Turbo Accordian Hose (AFM to Turbo Housing) is 17882-42012 if yours is a turbo. You can use black silicone as a temporary fix once things are in place. May rip again on removal. Let it cure before starting. Silicone can dammage the O2 sensor.

Default How do I know what engine I have.

All I know for the moment it is a 1986 (not a 1986-1/2) supra with a stock engine.

My whole intake system looked like that!
plus my ignition system is in desperate need of maintenance, so that's another place to check out for your problem.
